This course will focus on the venture capital (VC) industry and the unique characteristics of VC backed companies. The course will provide a detailed analysis of the industry, helping students to understand the methods used by venture capitalists to evaluate, structure and value startups.
The course will expose participants to the different stages of technology companies, the contract structure, liquidation preference, employee stock options and other financial instruments used for technology ventures funding.
Adopting a dual perspective, both academic and practical, from a venture capital investor’s point of view, participants will apply the learned lessons to real use cases of Israeli startups.
