Full-time MBA

HKUBS’ full-time MBA program – ranked Asia’s no. 1 in the World MBA Rankings (by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) for nine consecutive years from 2010 to 2018) – has a strong Asia and China focus, providing students the opportunity for a Hong Kong/China track, and a true competitive edge in today’s Asia-led economy. Two additional tracks, in London and in New York, are also available.

Masters Programs

HKU Business School’s Masters Programs extend over a minimum of one academic year and a maximum of two academic years for full-time study. Most students tend to finish the program in one academic year.

For the first time, on the occasion of the establishment of HKU-TLV Innovation Hub, HKUBS is offering both full and partial scholarships to outstanding Israeli candidates applying to one of its masters or MBA programs.

HKU-TLV Innovation Hub was established by HKU Business School, merging the academic excellence of HKU, with Israel’s innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, as a focal point for students, alumni, investors and corporations from Israel, Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Dedicated scholarships to
outstanding Israeli candidates

  • Five scholarships will cover the full tuition of the selected program.
  • Up to 15 scholarships will cover partial tuition, ranging from 40-70% of tuition.

Scholarships apply to tuition only. Separate stipends to cover living expenses are available to outstanding candidates. All programs are full time and successful candidates will need to relocate to Hong Kong for the duration of their studies.  

At the cornerstone of HKUBS are diversity of thought, personality, education and professional background. Successful applicants will have:  

  • Undergraduate studies from a reputable institution, 
  • Work (or military) experience, 
  • Diverse background, 
  • Extra-curricular experience, 
  • 2 reference letters from recent employers/ commanders/ professors. 


All programs are taught in English. Successful candidates will need to relocate to Hong Kong for the duration of their studies.

 

All scholarship applications by Israeli candidates must be submitted to HKU-TLV by 28.2.23* (please note that these applications DO NOT follow the application deadlines posted on HKUBS’ website).

Full-time MBA

HKUBS’ full-time MBA program – ranked Asia’s no. 1 in the World MBA Rankings (by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) for nine consecutive years from 2010 to 2018) – has a strong Asia and China focus, providing students the opportunity for a Hong Kong/China track, and a true competitive edge in today’s Asia-led economy. Two additional tracks, in London and in New York, are also available. This is a one-year-intensive program; further details can be found here.

  • For both admissions and scholarships, we give much importance to quality of work experience and interview performance. 
  • Interview is similar to a job interview. Candidates will be asked about their work experience, professional knowledge, and industry insights, along with their motivation to apply to the selected program and study at HKU.  
  • Previous education, professional experience, a diverse background, and ability to communicate well during the interview are critical elements for a successful application.  
  • Admissions and scholarships decisions are taken exclusively by the admission and scholarship selection committees. The decision by these committees is final and binding.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until April 2023. Admission decisions are generally available 2 to 4 weeks after the interviews, which are communicated via email once all outstanding supporting documents have been received.

In exceptional cases, a conditional offer may be made subject to fulfillment of the GMAT/GRE and/or TOEFL/IELTS requirements.

Masters Programs

  • Reputation of candidate’s previous undergraduate or postgraduate institution,
  • Career-related track record,

  • All Master programs specializes on specific topics (unlike the MBA program). 
  • Like in the MBA program, in addition to Academic performance, candidates who differentiate themselves through interesting internships, work experience (including military service), extra-curricular activities, have a higher chance for scholarships.  
  • Admissions and scholarships decisions are taken exclusively by the admission and scholarship selection committees. The decision by these committees is final and binding.

Successful candidates will be invited for an interview at HKU-TLV Innovation Hub in Tel Aviv and will be asked to complete HKUBS’ online application form.
Final round interview will be conducted by the Admissions Committee in Hong Kong and final decision conveyed by HKUBS.

Possibility of working in HK after graduation with the IANG Visa

Non-local students that have obtained an undergraduate or higher qualification in a full-time and locally accredited program in Hong Kong (hereafter “non-local graduates”) may apply to stay/return and work in the HKSAR under the IANG. The IANG is quota-free and non-sector specific. HKU Career Development & Training Team facilitates students in terms of finding the right career opportunities.
